Premise
The United Colonies are under attack. An alien swarm called the Scourge has emerged from uncharted space, consuming entire worlds. Conventional military forces are overwhelmed. The Starfall Legion — elite soldiers in orbital drop armor — are humanity's best hope. Your squad, callsign 'Phoenix,' has just completed training and received your first deployment: a colony world going dark. Time to earn your wings.
The World
The frontier of United Colonies space, where colony worlds dot the stars like scattered seeds. The Scourge has hit three outer colonies in rapid succession, and the military is scrambling to respond. Your base of operations is the carrier ship UCS Prometheus (no relation to the research vessel), a massive warship that serves as home, armory, and launch platform.

Drop Bay Alpha, UCS Prometheus
The armored launch bay where Phoenix squad suits up for deployment. Rows of drop pods line the walls, each painted with squad insignias. Warning lights flash amber as the ship enters orbit over Haven's Rest. Through the viewport, you can see the colony — and the dark tide of Scourge organisms washing over its northern districts.
