1. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use StoryRoll to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players.
• Submit prompts or game content that is illegal, promotes violence, or exploits minors.
• Submit, prompt, or attempt to generate content that infringes another person's intellectual property rights. This includes prompting the AI to reproduce copyrighted characters, settings, or text, to imitate a specific living artist's style, or to generate a real person's likeness.
• Attempt to bypass content safety measures or manipulate the AI to generate prohibited content.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform's AI services.

3. AI-Generated Content

StoryRoll uses artificial intelligence to generate Game Master narration, advisor responses, illustrations, and voice narration. This content is generated algorithmically and is not reviewed or curated by humans. AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, inconsistent, or unexpected. StoryRoll is not responsible for the specific output of AI-generated content.

4. Content Boundaries

StoryRoll supports Session Zero configuration including content lines and veils. These are player-configured preferences that guide the AI, but they are not a guarantee that all generated content will conform to those boundaries. Use your own judgment when playing.

5. Service Availability

StoryRoll is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, data preservation, or uninterrupted service. The platform depends on third-party AI services that may experience outages or changes beyond our control.

6. Payments & Founder's Pass

StoryRoll offers an optional paid upgrade (the "Founder's Pass") that provides expanded access for a fixed period. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe); we do not collect or store your full payment card details.

The Founder's Pass is a one-time purchase that grants access for the stated period (currently 30 days from activation). It does not automatically renew or recur. Access is activated shortly after a successful purchase.

StoryRoll is in an early "founding" phase, and the paid offering is still evolving. We may change the price, the included features or usage allowances, the access period, or the availability of any paid offering at any time, and we may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue paid features. Any such change applies to purchases made after it takes effect; access you have already paid for will be honored for its then-current term.

Except where required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable. We may, at our sole discretion, offer a refund or credit on a case-by-case basis. If we suspend or terminate your account for a violation of these terms, you will not be entitled to a refund.

You are responsible for any applicable taxes associated with your purchase, except for taxes based on StoryRoll's net income.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time from your profile page.

8. Intellectual Property

Characters, stories, and campaign content you create within StoryRoll belong to you. The StoryRoll platform, its code, UI design, and branding are the intellectual property of StoryRoll. AI-generated content (narration, images, voice) is provided for your personal use within the platform.

"Dungeons & Dragons," "D&D," and related marks are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast LLC. StoryRoll is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast or Hasbro. References to compatible game systems are descriptive only.

This product includes material from the System Reference Document 5.1 ("SRD 5.1") by Wizards of the Coast LLC, available at dnd.wizards.com. The SRD 5.1 is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
