When you use StoryRoll, we collect the following information:

  • Account information: Email address, display name, and profile picture (if signing in with Google).
  • Game data: Campaign settings, characters, session messages, dice rolls, and other in-game content you create.
  • Usage data: Achievement progress, advisor energy usage, and session activity timestamps.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the platform and run your game sessions.
  • To generate AI Game Master responses, advisor chat, and scene illustrations for your campaigns.
  • To generate voice narration for DM responses when enabled.
  • To track achievements and game progress.

3. Third-Party Services

StoryRoll uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Convex — Backend database and real-time sync.
  • Google OAuth — Authentication provider.
  • Anthropic (Claude) — AI Game Master narration and advisor responses.
  • ElevenLabs — Voice narration (text-to-speech).
  • Google Gemini — AI scene and character illustrations.

Your game prompts and character data may be sent to these services to generate responses. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Data Retention

Your game data (campaigns, characters, messages) persists as long as your account exists. You may delete your account at any time from your profile page, which will remove your personal data and characters. Shared campaign messages will remain but will no longer be attributed to your account.

5. Cookies & Session Tokens

StoryRoll uses a session token (stored as a cookie) to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

6. Children's Privacy

StoryRoll is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Account deletion is available directly from your profile page and removes all associated personal data.
