Point Buy (27 Points)
The D&D 5e point buy system gives you 27 points to spend on ability scores. Each score starts at 8, and raising it costs points — but the price goes up as scores get higher. Scores range from 8 to 15 before racial bonuses.

Standard Array
The standard array is a fixed set of scores: 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8. You assign each number to one ability. It's the fastest way to generate balanced ability scores — perfect for new players or one-shots.
Racial Ability Score Bonuses
Most D&D 5e races grant bonuses to one or two ability scores. This calculator applies them automatically — select your race from the dropdown and the bonuses stack on top of your base scores. The modifier column always reflects your final total.
